The supremacy of Episode four being the best episode of the series continues with Hawkeye's amazing episode four with lots of details and reveals. In this article, we will be looking at the details that Marvel intentionally added but before that let's talk about the overall episode.
Hawkeye has the lowest amount of viewership for an MCU show on Disney+. Still, Hawkeye is getting better with every episode and The live-action feel of the series is great. In the last episode, we saw a car chasing scene with Hawkeye's high-tech arrows. and then in the episode four we saw a Black Widow fighting with Hawkeye, That scene was amazing and also we can't ignore two others. Episode four was more about Clint's working style and how he deals with all the problems. This episode also shows us some major set-ups for the future that we will talk about in the article, Here are 12 Details From Hawkeye's Episode Four That Everyone Missed.
1. WandaVision - Hexagon - Hawkeye
A Marvel fanboy detail comes from starting scene of Episode four - Where we can notice an Hexagone pattern on Kate Bishop's Stepfather's Cup. This may be a call back to the Hex from WandaVison because it matches the exact shapes. As we know Marvel still now, If fans find some details or easter eggs means they are confirmed, Even though it's changed nothing but it was a cool detail.
2. Jack Duquesne - SwordMan
From his first appearance, Jack Duquesne has shown to be a suspicious character, He may have some important role in future Episodes. But as we have seen that in Episode three he is a Master Swordsman, Marvel comics fans have started claiming that he is Swordman. Swordman is one of Marvel's oldest Comicbook characters and in episode four when Clint Barton was leaving the house of Kate, In the background we can see lots of swords in the umbrella holder. This is just another nod to Jack’s sword obsession and his comic book counterpart Swordsman.
3. Forrest Gumps - Lines
In one of the scenes when Eleanor laughs at Jack messing up a quote. he's actually misquoting Forrest Gump's iconic "Life is like a box of chocolates" line from Forrest Gump.
4. Kate Replace Tony
When Kate comes to the apartment and decides to decorate and celebrate the holidays with Clint. She was actually replacing Tony from Matt Fraction and David Aja's Hawkeye Issue #6 from 2012. In this comic, Tony does exactly what Kate did in the episode.
5. Kate Movies Collections
Kates Movies to watch are Elf, Die Hard, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, The Polar Express, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and The Santa Clause. The list is big & long and I don't think that they can complete these movies any sooner.
6. Thanos Was Right
Continuing the detail from Episode one, Clint was drinking in the same cup. Which says "Thanos was right".
7. Kate's Drawing
While kate was making a plan, She draws on a poster that gives Marvel add more details in the scene - The poster that's she draws on is a poster of another Moira Brandon movie called A Chance of Love. We can also see the name of Hawkeye's art director - Shawn Bronson. you can also see that Kate drew a pair of goofy glasses on Moira's head on the poster.
8. Theory
I don't know, How much of this theory is true but the watch Hawkeye was searching for is of his wife - Laura Barton. I am assuming this on the basis of screen-time she has given in this episode and also I don't think this watch is of Natasha because if it would be Clint has never taken the risk especially with Kate.
9. Such A Poser
A funny callback to the Black Widow movie, Where Yelena was making fun of Natasha for her landing pose but in the episode when she appeared for the first time she did the same pose.
10. Natasha = Kate
One of the most heartbreaking scenes for Black Widow fans and Hawkeye himself. During the fight when Kate fell off the roof, The movement was a parallel moment to what happened in Avengers: Endgame on Vormir.
11. Yelena Belova
Finally, the wait for Yelena Belova is over, She appeared in Hawkeye's episode four with her comic-inspired mask and her favorite vest with lots of pockets. Also, a noticeable thing is that Yelena is now wearing her hair in a braid that resembles Natasha's hair, instead of the hairstyle Yelena had in Black Widow.
12. Kate Following Clint
when Kate decides to not shoot Yelena, it mirrors when Clint and Natasha first met. Earlier in the episode, Clint told Kate he didn't shoot Nat because "I just had this feeling that she wanted out."
