What are Eternals?

The Eternals are a race of near-immortal beings genetically engineered by the Celestials, who have inhabited Earth amongst human society for over 35,000 years.

1. Ajak 

Ajak is the wise and spiritual leader of the community of genetically engineered Eternals on Earth.

2. Ikaris

Ikaris is the tactical leader and most powerful member of the community of genetically engineered Eternals on Earth.

Thena is a member of the community of genetically-engineered Eternals on Earth who was exiled alongside her de-facto partner, Gilgamesh. She is a skilled warrior and scholar.

Kingo is a cosmic-powered member of the community of genetically engineered Eternals on Earth who is a skilled swordsman and a Bollywood movie star.

• Eternal Physiology: By design from the Celestials, Kingo is an evolved human possessing strength, stamina, speed, and other capabilities superior to a human.
• Longevity: As an Eternal, Kingo is genetically able to live forever, without dying due to old age or illnesses.
• Cosmic Energy Manipulation: As an Eternal, Kingo is able to project cosmic energy projectiles with his hands.

6. Makkari

Makkari is the super-fast member of the community of genetically-engineered Eternals on Earth, devoted in protecting humankind from the Deviants.

• Eternal Physiology: By design from the Celestials, Makkari is an evolved human possessing strength, stamina, speed, and other capabilities superior to a human.

• Superhuman Speed: Makkari is the fastest woman in the universe. She uses her cosmically powered super-speed to scout planets for the Eternals, and as the only deaf Eternal, the sonic boom that accompanies her cosmic running does not affect her. Her speed also extends to her cognitive abilities and processes as she is able to read at a superhuman rate.

7. Phastos

Phastos is a member of the community of genetically-engineered Eternals on Earth who is an excellent inventor.

The Deviants are a monstrous race of near-immortal beings also genetically engineered by the Celestials and are also historical enemies of the Eternals, their racial cousins.
