Sanford Panitch is president of sony pictures motion picture groups and recently he confirmed that there, 'A Plan' to connect Spider-Man to Sony's emerging franchise of marvel Spinoff films.
When Spider-Man first appeared in Captain America: Civil War, Marvel released Spider-Man's two solo movies first 'Spider-man: Homecoming' and then 'Spider-Man: Far from home' but the story arc of MCU's Peter Parker is not completed and as we know from end credits of 'Far From Home' Peter Parker is Spider-Man is no more secrets for the world, now we had too see how it goes in Upcoming movies 'Spider-Man: No Way Home'.
Also, Sony is all set to release second standalone movie of VENOM. Sony has started Spider-Man's own cinematic universe without him with 2018 'Venom'. Director of Venom: Let There Be Carnage confirmed that it's not set in marvel cinematic universe.
On that note, Marvel Studios' Spider-Man: No Way Home is expected peel back the multiverse in order feature a number of returning faces from Spider-Man's cinematic past, including those who previously appeared in Sony films. Spider-Man 2 star Alfred Molina has already confirmed his return as Doctor Octopus, whereas No Way Home's main villain is rumored to be Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin from Sony's first Spider-Man movie. They wouldn't be the first Spider-Man stars from the Sony era to make the jump to the MCU, with J.K. Simmons having reprised his role as J. Jonah Jameson in Far From Home.
