Who is White Tiger in Marvel Comics?

 First appearing in Marvel Comics' 1975 Deadly Hands of Kung Fu #19, the mantle of White Tiger has been taken up by several individuals. White Tiger debuted in martial arts-themed black and white comics, which also featured characters like Shang-Chi and Iron Fist. Hector Ayala, the first White Tiger, gained superhuman strength and agility from three Jade Tiger amulets from Iron Fist's city, K'un-Lun. Struggling with his reliance on the amulets' energy, Ayala attempted to retire but was drawn back into heroism, ultimately being falsely accused of murder. Despite having previously fought alongside Daredevil, Ayala enlisted Murdock as his lawyer. Tragically, before evidence proving his innocence could surface, Ayala fled the courthouse and was shot by security guards in 2003's Daredevil Vol. 2 #58.

In 1997’s Heroes for Hire #1, the second White Tiger emerged as a transformed white Bengal tigress turned crime-fighting woman. The third White Tiger, Kevin "Kasper" Cole, was known for impersonating Black Panther and, though offered a synthetic heart-shaped herb, became a White Tiger of the Panther Cult instead of the Black Panther.

Angela del Toro, Hector’s niece, became the fourth White Tiger after inheriting the Jade Tiger amulet following his death. Trained by Murdock due to his connection to Hector, Angela's story took a dark turn when she was killed by Lady Bullseye and resurrected as an assassin for the Hand, akin to Elektra Natchios.

The fifth White Tiger, Ava Ayala, debuted in 2011's Avengers Academy #20. Hector's younger sister and Angela’s aunt, Ava fought alongside the Heroes for Hire and later joined the Mighty Avengers, working with heroes like Superior Spider-Man, She-Hulk, Spectrum, and Falcon. She appeared in 2015’s Secret Wars, suggesting she could be a potential character in the Russo Brothers’ upcoming live-action Avengers: Secret Wars. However, with Daredevil: Born Again only now introducing Hector, her inclusion seems unlikely, though the MCU's fast pace leaves possibilities open.
