So, It is time to say goodbye to 2021. It was an awesome year for Marvel fans - We have witnessed Marvel's one of the best years in terms of content quantity and quality at the same time.
Series like Wandavision, Loki & What If have started the multiverse where the takes are too high that whole reality is in danger. And also on the other hand series like The Falcon & The Winter Soldier & Hawkeye kept the fans connected to their daily life problems. Where Sam is struggling for loans and Hawkeye is struggling to celebrate Christmas with his family. On the other hand, Movie has the same story where movies like Black Widow and Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings focus on hand-to-hand combat and some personal problems. Movies Like Eternals & Spider-man: No Way Home were slowly changing the MCU future direction.
In this year we have seen Marvel trying to set up future young Avengers and some big villains like Kang. All of the Marvel fans know that phase four is all about the Multiverse and surprisingly Marvel did a really good job for now. Marvel has surprised us in past with movies like Guardian Of The Galaxy and they are still doing it. Even though lots of people have mixed reactions to the new approach but personally I am loving what Marvel is doing right now. I really enjoyed watching Marvel movies and series this year and I have ranked All Marvel Movies And Series that I most enjoyed.
9. ETERNALS
Lots of people called Eternals one of the worst Marvel movies which I don't think it's true but Marvel has released lots of quality content this year and Eternals story doesn't compete with them. I don't know how much I like it but surely it doesn't have the true Marvel vibes that I enjoy the most. Also, the fact that I had lots of expectations from the movie totally disappoints in that factor. Even though Eternals has great cinematography but I think 2:30mins was not enough to introduce us to 9-10 important characters and then the History of more than a thousand years. That is why I have listed Eternals at last in the list.
8. BLACK WIDOW
Again the expectations, If the Black Widow movie were released directly after Civil War the movie would have felt better but the problem was it is 2 years late. SO the movie was released to give Natasha's story a proper end but it doesn't feel like that. The movie is nothing but an unnecessary filler that makes no sense right now. But apart from that if we see it as an Action film the movie did a great job. Florence Pugh & Scarlett Johansson did a fantastic job and make it feel interesting. I personally was disappointed otherwise the movie is not that bad but it was late.
7. HAWKEYE
Hawkeye is a Disney Plus series and I have ranked it last just because of the last episode of the series. If you look at the list closely you can notice that I mostly judge the movies and series on the End result. And apply that here I have to say that Marvel wasted some important characters just to make their first appearance. If I was not making the article spoiler-free I would have named but people who have watched it will definitely relate to me. Otherwise, I really enjoy the Christmas-grounded vibes of the series. Watching Clint amazingly doing normal stuff feels connected and also the character development of Kate Bishop was well planned. I also enjoyed the action sequences from the series, and that's why I have given it 6th Rank.
6. THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER
I don't about others but I loved the series because it is a complete package. It has action, comedy, drama & family drama. TFATW is one of the most connected series to MCU. Sam becomes Captain America in the series and Bucky gets what he deserves. I can remember the scene where Bucky in Wakanda becomes free from the winter soldier program. Where he starts crying every Marvel fan can feel that in their heart. We have to say that TFATW is a great mixture of Emotions and Comedy with some of the best action sequences. The action sequence from the very first scene of the series was too good from there the series never fall down in the action department. Talking about my experience, It was awesome and I never felt bored in any of the episodes.
5. WANDAVISION
A Significantly slow start comes to an emotional end in Wandavision. In the series, Wanda is so sad that she just lost her mind and accidentally traps a whole city in the world of her dream. Wandavision was a start to the Multiverse saga where Wanda learns her full potential and becomes Scarlette Witch. Wandavision also introduces us to some new characters that we can't discuss but the one we can, Is already dead 3-4 times. Even though if we see Wandavision full series it could have been done in a better way but I have ranked it at number five just because of the way I felt while watching the show. Wandavision is one of the shows that I personally enjoyed a lot because of Elizabeth Olsen. The way Olsen and Paul Bettany showcased different eras in different acting styles was too awesome to handle.
4. What If...?
Lots of people may think I am overrating the show but trust me I can explain why I have ranked it at number four. So the first thing first I enjoyed the show all of the episodes were fun especially if we talk about the episode of Party Thor. I appreciate Marvel's efforts to make the show as good as possible like the Animation and calling the actual cast for a series. Even though all of the episodes had different stories but somehow it was connected well in the last episode. Literally, every episode was a dream come true for the fans if it was episode number four or seeing the zombies avengers it was too cool. What if not only was it a fun show it was an excellent representation of future MCU. What we can see in the future is beyond our theories now it's all in Marvel's hands.
3. SHANG-CHI AND THE LEGEND OF THE TEN RINGS
Nobody has thought of Shang-Chi will become one of their favorite movies. When I watched the movie for the first time my experience in the theater was bad but then I decided to go and watch it again and I loved the movie. Shang-chi has a typical Marvel story where the hero doesn't want to be a hero and then some circumstances make him do that then a guy related to Avengers comes and connects the story with ongoing events. These types of stories never failed especially with some funny charcters and that is what happened with the movie. Apart from that, the action sequences were too awesome, I personally loved the fight between Shang-Chi and his father with ten rings. And the final battle makes you remember the Black Panther movie. Which makes the movie more cooler - And that is why I have ranked it at number three.
2. LOKI
Watching Loki was so much fun I can remember everyone was making theories about what will happen at the end of the series but no one was able to predict what Marvel was planning for MCU fans. Loki is one of my favorite MCU experiences because that when I started writing seriously, I am pretty much sure that I have most of the Loki covered in my blog. SO let's talk about the series with some spoilers, So when the very first episode aired I become so much excited about what will happen next because was episode 1 was ending, I loved each and every episode but episode four and two were my favorite ones. I can remember some major crazy things about the series like showing dozens of infinity stones in a door, multiple Loki and Kang (He-Who-Remains) in the last episode. It was a crazy experience for me and that is why I have ranked Loki at the number two spot.
1. SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME
The reason Spider-Man: No Way Home is on the top is because Marvel and Sony did it - Dude! I have written an article in May about it without any expectations about that to happen (Sony executive : There is a 'plan' for Spider-Man to connect Sony and Marvel movies). Honestly, I was thinking about what if Tobey and Andrew may have not appeared in the movie - No one can even imagine that level of disappointment but As we know Marvel & Sony did it.
But logically speaking, The movie was not about the special appearance that is not the only thing that makes it good. I enjoyed the movie even before other Spider-Man appearances. From starting of the movie it feels like we just come from an interval break of Spider-Man: Far From Home. Even though there are no such important villains in the movie it never feels like that every moment we were expecting death and that is what makes a movie action more attachable. The movie involves us in every moment without any extra effort and that is why I and I think everyone has ranked Spider-Man: No Way Home on top of their list.
